

1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons sugar or honey
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 very thin slice lemon (about 1/8-inch)
1 pint strawberries, hulled and sliced
In a saucepan, stir together first 4 ingredients until blended. Simmer mixture, stirring, for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened. Stir in strawberries and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring now and again, until syrup is clear. Discard lemon slice. Refrigerate until ready to use. Yields about 2 cups sauce.
