

1 quart apple cider
1 quart orange juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar (or more to taste)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or 2 cinnamon sticks)
6 whole cloves
1 orange, unpeeled, cut into slices
1 lemon, unpeeled, cut into slices
Combine all the ingredients in an enamel pot and simmer mixture for about 10 minutes. Strain and discard fruit. Serve in large mugs with fresh orange slice and a cinnamon stick(optional) in each mug. Yields 8 cups.
Note: -This is especially good served with Pumpkin Cake.
