
2 quarts milk ( can use part half-and-half for richer taste)
2/3 cup cocoa, sifted
2/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
In a 4-quart enamel saucepan, stir together all the ingredients
until blended. Bring mixture to a simmer, stirring now and again,
until cocoa comes just to the point of boiling. Serve in mugs,
with a cinnamon stick, a splash of chocolate liqueur for the grown-ups,
or mini-marshmallows for the kids. Yield 8 cups or 12 servings.
