
Chocolate cookies topped with chocolate chips and walnuts and covered with a chewy caramel topping is a heavenly combination.
1/2 cup butter (1 stick), melted
2 1/2 cups chocolate fudge cake mix.
(Do not use the pudding mix).
1 package (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate
chips
(or more to taste)
1 1/2 cups walnuts, coarsely chopped
1 can (14 ounces) condensed milk
In a 9x13-inch pan, melt the butter and spread it evenly over the bottom. Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the butter. Scatter the chocolate and walnuts evenly over the mix. Drizzle the condensed milk evenly over all. Bake cookies in a 350° oven for about 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden brown.
Allow to cool in pan. Cut into 1 1/2-inch squares when cool. May be sprinkled lightly with sifted powdered sugar. Yields 48 chewies.
