Crackling Frosted Grapes

It's nice to use these grapes as a lavish garnish. Use seedless red, black or green grapes or a little of each. Small Champagne grapes are especially gorgeous.

1 egg white
1 pound seedless grapes, cut into small clusters
sugar for coating the grapes

Beat egg white until foamy. Brush grapes on all sides with the egg white and place grapes on a wax paper-lined platter. Sprinkle with sugar on all sides. Allow the sugar coating to dry for several hours at room temperature. Do not refrigerate as it may cause the fruit to sweat. Use to decorate serving platters.
